Accessibility
Statement.

Liminal Love is committed to making this website accessible in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) and the European standard EN 301 549 — which implements WCAG 2.1 Level AA. This statement describes the current status and how to report barriers.

Created: 6 July 2026 Last reviewed: 6 July 2026 Method: Self-assessment

1 · Scope

This statement applies to the content published at www.liminallovedoula.berlin — the home page, offering sub-pages, the Letters, imprint, privacy policy, and this statement. It does not apply to content hosted on external platforms (e.g. the newsletter sign-up and appointment booking), for which the respective provider's own statement applies.

The person responsible for the content and this statement is named in the Imprint.

2 · Compliance status

This website is substantially compliant with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as referenced in EN 301 549. A small number of items listed under section 3 are not yet fully compliant.

Accessibility is a practice, not a finish line. We improve continuously.

3 · Non-accessible content

The following items are currently not, or only partially, accessible. A brief reason is given for each:

  • Decorative illustrations (arch motifs, moon discs). These are purely decorative and carry no informational content. They are hidden from the screen-reader hierarchy (aria-hidden) or included without alt text so they are not read aloud twice.
  • Inspiration images in the "For whom" section. These placeholder images will be replaced with final images carrying meaningful alt text before publication.
  • Form fields without a visible label. Certain input fields in the contact and newsletter area use the placeholder as their label. A programmatic label is planned and will be added in the next iteration.
  • Design variations (A / B) on the home page. The design canvas view is built as an interactive presentation. We will provide a sequential, single-column version of the final variant on request for users of assistive technologies.
  • Contrast on some helper labels. Some very small uppercase eyebrow labels fall slightly below the 4.5:1 ratio. We are reviewing adjustments to font size and tone.

These barriers are unintentional; they reflect the current state of implementation and are not content exempt under applicable law.

4 · Alternative access

If content is not accessible to you, we will provide it in a suitable format on request — for example as plain text, a tagged PDF, or a phone conversation. There is no charge for this.

5 · Feedback & contact

Have you encountered a barrier on this website? Do you need content in a different form? We welcome feedback and respond within two working days.

6 · Enforcement

If you encounter a barrier and our response is unsatisfactory, you may contact the relevant market surveillance authority. Under the BFSG, this is ordinarily:

Authority
Marktüberwachungsstelle der Länder für die Barrierefreiheit von Produkten und Dienstleistungen (MLBF)
c/o Land Sachsen-Anhalt — Landesamt für Verbraucherschutz
Wallonerberg 2–3, 39104 Magdeburg, Germany
Online
mlbf.sachsen-anhalt.de

Note: as this website is not offered by a public body, the conciliation body under § 16 BGG is generally not competent for this statement.

7 · Assessment method

This statement was prepared on 6 July 2026. It is based on a self-assessment using:

  • manual keyboard and screen-reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver)
  • automated checks with common tools (Axe, Lighthouse)
  • contrast and readability checks against WCAG 2.1 Level AA

A review is carried out annually and after any significant changes to content or design.

8 · Technical notes

  • Language attribute: lang="en" on English pages, lang="de" on German legal pages.
  • Skip link at the top of every page, visible on keyboard focus.
  • Hierarchical heading structure (one h1 per page, cascading h2/h3).
  • Full keyboard operability for all interactive elements, visible focus ring.
  • Responsive layout down to 320 px width; text scalable to 200 % without content loss.
  • Reduced-motion: no auto-playing, blinking, or full-screen animations that would violate prefers-reduced-motion.
